Job Description

Game Artist envisions, designs and produces high-end concepts and experiences for millions of users. You will be leading and driving the overall vision of our game design processes together with the related conceptual designs. What you’ll be doing

  • Contribute to the Art Department by designing game ideas and visual concepts from scratch, experiment with genres
  • Grow and foster a user-oriented design culture
  • Develop a visual style, design and overall look for Veloxia’s products
  • Make VFX from concept art to implementing
  • Make 2D / 3D objects for projectiles
  • Optimize and manage VFX resources efficiently
  • Support other parts related to VFX (UI / 2D Animation)
  • Support the game development process from A to Z
  • Conduct game-design related split tests

Where you’ll grow:

  • Ability to make data driven decisions from large chunks of information

  • Processes, pipelines and best practices of art production
  • Processes and methods to optimize space usage of mobile art assets
  • VFX implementation and optimization techniques for mobile devices

Job Requirement

  • University degree preferably in Visual Communication Design, Media and Visual Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, Animation or related field
  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Highly creative problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail, thirst for continuous learning and delivering quality work
  • Excellent understanding of stylized 2D VFX
  • Excellent understanding of 2D skeletal animation
  • Modest capability in additional skills (2D / 3D Art, 3D animation, UI design)
  • Capability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Enthusiasm and experience in game design/systems and balancing game economies, someone looking to have the opportunity to design from scratch and ultimately launch a global hit game that millions of players will play
  • Strong & concise communicator of game concepts
  • Hunger and passion for making and playing games; being curious and thinking critically about why games succeed and fail
  • Open and flexible enough to receive & adjust design choices upon valid feedback, but strong enough to back your own ideas & opinions
